		On Easter Day, we got out for a bit of a boat ride. My son enjoying the ride back to the marina as my wife took her first serious control at the helm. She did a great job running the boat back to the marina.

		Ryan&#039;s Kindergarten field trip involved seeing a show at the VBC and then launch at Dublin Park. My wife and I got to partake in the picnic launch and then recess at the playground.

		The pelican migration into the Wheeler Reserve has been long-lasting this year. Typically, they move farther south into Mobile Bay area; however, they have decided to stay with us this season due to the above-average temperatures. It is amazing watching these birds fly by the hundreds around the Wheeler Reserve.

	<title>RWYC Boat Parade</title>

		On Saturday 12/10/11, The Riverwalk Yacht Club in Decatur, AL held their annual boat parade. It was a great event that had a fun-filled evening of activities and enough people there to fill the parking lot. Look forward to being in the parade myself next year. Here is Bob and Sue Namie&#039;s boat heading out to join the parade. The rest of the pictures from this event can be viewed on my family photo album at http://www.nofone.org/gallery/2011/RWYC_Parade/

		This is the last buoy for the channel leading back into Wheeler Refuge. This has been our new anchoring spot since the water level dropped and we can no longer get back to our other favorite spot at Mallard Creek.

	<title>G8 into the woods</title>
	<link>http://www.scotopix.com/pblog/index.php?showimage=220</link>

		&lt;img src=&quot;http://www.scotopix.com/pblog/thumbnails/thumb_20110924115347__mg_1004.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
		Two weekends ago, I took the Pontiac G8 on the same trip that I used to ride motorcycles through. This included the full run from Huntsville, AL to Beersheba Springs, TN and back. After the trip, my GPS reported the exact same statistics from the G8 as I used to do on the bike. Same average speed, same top speed, same everything. Demonstrating that I can be just as fast in the car as I could on the bike. This makes me a happy camper. I did learn, though, that continued treatment on the G8 like this would warrant better quality rotors as the stock rotors are already starting to warp.
