Ryan pondering while eating lunch. Shot taken with new Canon SD4000IS after the 4yo Canon SD600 died with broken rear screen and an inability to focus on anything except wide angle. It is truly amazing what four years has done to the Point-n-Shoot market.

Back to the GTE Award..this time with the colored back drop. One day, I really like this shot. The next day, I go back to liking the one from a few weeks ago with the jet black background. It's nice to have both.

Here are the two awards together. Only two strobes were used to get this shot. One was used under the awards while a second was used with a few different gels to make the colored background. Color choice on the background matches ADTRAN's teal color.

Recently, my employer, ADTRAN, was honored by receiving the "Large Manufacturer of the Year" Award AND the "Governor's Trade Excellence" Award. I was asked to photograph the two for internal purposes while also getting to share here. Here is the first in a series of shots that will be shown over the coming weeks.

Cafe shoot

On 3/24/2010, I performed a shoot for the Grand Tower's Cafe -- located inside the ADTRAN facility. We shot four different plates for a soon-to-be released advertisement. Here is one of my more favorite shots from the session.

Boat Ride

With a rare break from winter, this past Saturday gave a hint to warmer weather to come. And that was enough to get out on the boat. My mom was in town and, she being a boater with my father for almost 40 years, was extremely anxious to see what Melissa and I had recently acquired. She definitely approved and enjoyed about an hour trip down to Wheeler State Park for lunch and then a ride back.
